How is College Different from School?

College life is all about taking the next steps and building on experience gained at school.

Students tell us how they feel more grown up here, and that they welcome the social and practical opportunities we offer. Student life is exciting and varied – a chance to meet new people and get involved in clubs and societies.

Extra-curricular activities and experiences are not only fun to take part in, but help students develop as individuals and give them the edge when applying to university or for a job.

The college is committed to providing employability skills. The Futures Programme is an innovative approach to learning which ensures that all our students have the opportunity to stand out from the crowd. The programme includes activities such as work placements, enterprise and work-based projects and employer and industry networking. It enables students to break free of the classroom and get real hands-on experience.

The Professional Futures Programme is specifically designed to link closely to, and complement each student’s chosen course of study and provide opportunity for CV and skills building.
